In the last decades, the videogame market has become the biggest entertainment market of the world - surpassing in revenue movies and music combined. However, despite its growing importance, it has not been deeply explored from a microeconomic point of view. In that regard, this paper proposes a model for the markets of games and of DLCs (downloadable contents). This model points in which circumstances the game producer will adopt different strategies and how exogenous variables affect the goods' prices. Finally, it is included a welfare analysis and an analysis of some measures that may be adopted in the markets studied.
