The initial and main objective of this work was to explore China's transformation in the regulation of large technology companies and online platforms. To this end, after systematizing the main literature on the subject, case studies were made of the companies Alibaba and Tencent in terms of their growth trajectory, operating models, objectives and the way in which these paths were shaped by their relationship with the Chinese regulatory model, which also had its own development and evolution. From this analysis, we sought to map and categorize the numerous sanctions and regulatory acts aimed at companies. In the course
of the work, some characteristics of the current Chinese regulatory model were consistently identified which, precisely for this reason, we believe are essential to the study of the subject. Chapters 2 and 3 present the results of the case studies of the companies Alibaba and Tencent in the Chinese regulatory context since their creation, highlighting the regulatory acts (sanctions and legislation) practiced by the Chinese authorities that directly or indirectly.
