Twelve interviews were conducted with transgender professionals who work in a hybrid or remote regime, specifically in companies in the information technology sector or that have undergone digital transformation processes. All interviews were transcribed and subjected to discourse analysis. The results reveal a bias towards hiring trans people who identify with binary gender conformity, possibly due to the complexity of managing gender diversity. Furthermore, interviewees mentioned the lack of representation of this group in the media and on social networks. In this context, research was carried out on news that exposes how conservative parliamentarians aligned with the extreme right use fake profiles on the internet to impact a variety of audiences, propagating hate speech and persecution. This behavior has resulted in a series of ongoing threats faced by transgender lawmakers at the state and federal level.
