The bioeconomy's potential to drive a sustainable transition involves a complex political process, marked by the actions of multiple actors with often divergent interests and deeply linked to tensions in natural resource governance. It is crucial that its promotion be inclusive. This study investigated the organization and influence of territorial governance structures and arrangements aimed at strengthening the bioeconomy in the Brazilian Legal Amazon. It used a qualitative approach that involved a systematic literature review, analysis of institutional documents, and the development of a map of actors based on the concept of multilevel governance. It found that governance plays a dual role: strengthening existing and developing initiatives, highlighting the need for collaborative and territorialized practices, and consolidating a bioeconomic model supported by marketing networks. However, a non-hierarchical and poorly structured network was identified, with multiple initiatives lacking effective coordination, resulting in a diffuse mobilization that can exacerbate inequalities. The central deliverables of this work, the table of the main initiatives and the map of actors in the bioeconomy in the Amazon, aim to contribute to a broader and more integrated understanding of the topic.
