This research has focused on the relationship between climate change and international trade. As countries implement their climate change measures, their effect on international trade will tend to intensify over the coming years. As such, the European Union has launched its Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which aims to charge imported products based on its carbon content. As a first of its kind, this research focuses on the CBAM, as it will likely serve as a benchmark for future climate change policies on trade.
